Symphony Orchestra 2001 AT&T Gala
Myerson Symphony Center
September 8.
It’s the voice of an angel emerging from an
incredibly talented 15-year-old girl. Charlotte Church
has enchanted the world with her breathtaking vocals.
The stunning soprano will engage audiences September
8, 2001, at the Dallas Symphony Orchestra AT&T
2001 Gala.
Guests will enter a mythical garden created inside a
giant tent raised on Annette Strauss Artists Square.
As they enter the Meyerson Symphony Center for dinner,
the fantasy will continue with tree houses on high and
nymphs playing in the forest. The expertise of Todd
Fiscus of Two Design Group and Jan Strimple will bring
the diaphanous setting to life. The evening will be
developed as a special event from the moment of
arrival until the last dreamy song has faded away and
guests relax over dessert and liqueurs.
The young soprano from Wales has been singing since
she was three, but Charlotte Church first burst on the
scene at the age of 12. Since then she has performed
for her queen, our president and the pope, completed
concert tours around the globe, and released three CDs
and a concert on DVD. Church was ranked in the Top 10
female artists of 2000. “Charlotte has done more to
make young kids aware of classical music and opera
than anyone has done in years,” says John Vernile,
vice president of Sony Records.
Up
