Fiona : Now then Charlotte, the youngest 'l.. girl , I was going to call you lady .. you might as well be a lady … you look poised enough to be one ...
Charlotte : Laughs.
Fiona : … to have an album in the top 5 pop charts, an album at number 1 in the classical charts, it's amazing. There are lots of hymns on the album as well. Why did you choose those hymns? Did you hear them in Church, or school?
Charlotte : Well, not really, it was just because everybody knows them like, everybody knows 'Jerusalem', 'I Vow To Thee My Country' and, 'Amazing Grace'. So, it wasn't like I'd heard them anywhere, it was just like a 'had to go on' type thing - you know.
Fiona : Because you did 'I Vow To Thee My Country' on Children in Need, didn't you, which was lovely. Do you enjoy singing hymns?
Charlotte : Um, well they're OK. I love 'Amazing Grace' because it's not so, you know, straight and serious because it's a bit like, 'more funky' and a bit gospelly, so I like that one. I like 'In Trutina' which is on the album as well because it's very calm and relaxing, so that's my favourite song on the album.

Fiona : Now then and talking about religious connections, yesterday, you met none other than the pope - a private audience with the pope. What was that like?
Charlotte : It was absolutely amazing.
Fiona : And I know your mum and your gran went with you didn't they? So how did that come about?
Charlotte : Sony international arranged that because a couple of people from Sony international came to the showcase I did in London. So, they were organising the show and it was just amazing.
Fiona : Because, I know you mother - I don't know how old she was at that stage - your mum Maria, but she tried to see the pope when she was younger didn't she?
Charlotte : Yeah, um, the pope came to Cardiff, and he was flying around Cardiff Arms Park, and there were 50,000 there, and my Auntie was walking down Cabbage Road East, which is this road in Canton, and nobody knew he was going to be going along there in his pope mobile and my Auntie was like the only one there so she started running after him. She said she's never seen a face like that - 'he was so peaceful' - and just angelic.

Fiona : Oh, how lovely. But you're making your mums dream come true now - well you've made her dream come true that you had an audience with him. Is it strange for you, because we mentioned Children In Need, and you've done the Rainbow trust charity, and you at the age of 12 are actually now being able to help other children who aren't as well off as you. Does that give you a lot of gratitude and pride?
Charlotte : Yeah, that's been really really good. Like, I did the Rainbow Trust? The Rainbow Trust is for terminally ill Children and so that was really special. When I did Children In Need - that was brilliant as well.
Fiona : It's good to able to do that isn't it.
Charlotte : I also want to be affiliated with Children with aids as well so ..
Fiona : Oh, that's great so you're putting your enjoyment to someone else's use which is really good isn't it. And what about Christmas. Now I think you've had your Christmas present already because you met George Michael a little while ago didn't you?
Charlotte : Yeah I did. That was in the Rainbow Trust actually.
Fiona : But, what would you ideally love for Christmas.
Charlotte : Well, for my album to go to number 1, but I don't know if I'll beat George Michael! And, I've already got my Christmas list set up for Sony. I want a Sony Playstation, a Sony Camcorder…!
Fiona : They're gonna have you, I'm sure they'll keep you on their books for a long time to come Charlotte. Sadly we can't though, because the time's up now, but it's lovely to see you and have a lovely Christmas.
Charlotte : Ok, thank you.
Fiona : Thank you.

The show then went to a commercial break, after which Charlotte sang 'My Lagan Love'

Charlotte also sang 'Pie Jesu' to end the show.
