Church Singer
For
many fans, it’s like being touched by an angel. Charlotte
Church may only be 14 years old, but her voice is much older
than her years. And so are her accomplishments. She’s sold
over 6 million C.D.s, sung for royalty and the Pope, and is
the youngest artist ever to reach number one on the U.K.
charts. And now her third album "Dream A Dream", a
collection of Christmas tunes, has brought her to Toronto.
"It's pretty wild when you think about it," she admits. "I'm
14 and I've had three albums. Generally, I don't really
think about all the weird stuff like I'm the youngest person
to do so-and-so…because otherwise I'd be screwed up because
I'd be so amazed.”
So what kind of music does she like? The answer is
surprisingly un-angelic. "The music I sing I don't listen
to. I listen to Eminem and TLC…I really like No Doubt and
Lenny Kravitz as well."
