February
22nd 2000, Sydney, Australia. Charlotte Church appeared in
an exclusive media and industry showcase performance at The
Musuem Of Contemporary Art in Syndey's trendy harbourside
locale, The Rocks.
Charlotte delighted the 150 strong crowd with her phenomenal
vocal ability and witty repartee. Radio 2UE's Alan Jones was
the special guest, who gave a stirring tribute to this
wonderful young talent. Since arriving in Australia on 20th
February, Charlotte is enjoying a week of glorious
Australian weather, meeting native animals (at Taronga Park
Zoo) in between her school tutoring commitments and endless
media engagements.
Wednesday Feb 23rd she will be signing copies of her albums
at Grace Bros City Store, Pitt St Sydney at 1.15 pm and on
Thursday Feb 24th at 6.30 pm she will be appearing at
Borders Books and Music , The Jam Factory, South Yarra,
Melbourne.
The second album from the 14-year-old Welsh singing
sensation is now GOLD in Australia meaning 35,000 + music
lovers have purchased the record. Her first release, aptly
titled "Voice of an Angel" has sold nearly 70,000
copies achieving Platinum status.
Globally, her total combined sales are just under the
5,000,000 mark! All this since November 1998 . . .
Charlotte is also the highest selling female classical
artist in history!
Prepare yourself for the Charlotte invasion, coming to a
radio and TV near you!! |
